The symptoms and the descriptions can be configured for each System that you have added in the Clinical Setup section. There are 2 ways to configure the symptoms: at Practice level and at Provider level. Providers can create their own favorite list to be used to record the symptoms in charting. Also the Quick List can be configured, which helps the user record the symptoms quickly, as all the symptoms can be accessed on a single page in charting.
To configure Practice's CC / HPI / ROS:
1. | From the left menu items, click Administration > EMR > CC / HPI / ROS. The Configure CC / HPI / ROS screen is displayed. |
2. | Select the Practice tab. |
3. | Select the System for which you want to add the symptom from the drop-down list. |
4. | Type in the symptom name in the box provided. |
5. | Select from the drop-down list the age range and gender to which the added symptom should display in the ROS chart. |
*Note: By default, “All” option in age group and “All” option in Gender are selected.
6. | Click Add button to add the symptom. |
To add findings:
1. | Once the symptom is successfully added, click the Finding link next to the symptom. |
2. | A new grid is displayed to add description and status for that symptom. |
3. | Type in the finding description in the box provided. |
4. | Select the Status of the added description as Positive or Negative. |
5. | Click the Add button to add the symptom description along with status. |
To add HPI:
1. | Once the symptom is successfully added, click the HPI link next to the symptom. |
2. | A new grid is displayed to add HPI questions and answers for that symptom. |
3. | Select the HPI questions and appropriate answers from the list besides it. |
4. | In the HPI answers section below, do the following: |
o | To edit the HPI answer, click the edit icon . |
o | To inactivate the HPI answer, click the inactivate icon . |
o | To reactivate the HPI answer, deselect the Active check box and click the icon. |
o | To change the sequence of the HPI answers, enter the sequence number in the given field. |
Customized Preferences: Click the icon from the top right corner to set the customized preferences for HPI and Symptoms. Refer to the image below.
